Fate...

Last Thurs was the death of my grandmother. I cant exactly put into words how I felt then but it was a tragic loss for me. To have a series of unfortunate events happening in such a short period of time really made me think...

Maybe it is all because of a thing called fate... It just takes you where it wants you to be... You can try to fight it but that proves to be futile most of the time.... Seems like the best thing to do is just go with the flow... To accept that fate has brought about a situation - desirable or otherwise, and the only thing we can do is to make the best out of the situation...

It depends on what you believe in, from my point of view, I wouldn't be alive now if I thought that everything was settled and that we are just meant to follow it. For the situations I've been put I've had to be strong, and that's not easy when you're just a kid. But to find myself in e.g a depression, like in my case, and then just continue to balance on the edge without trying would get me nowhere, to rely on fate that put me there and will either kill me, let me suffer or get me better would've broken me down completely.

So sure, I do respect your opinion, and please be aware that this comment is just made to tell you about mine. :) And why I wanted to tell you, is to suggest to try instead of going with the flow. And affect the situations you can affects, and you can't affect all. And I'm very sorry to hear about your grandmother, I can just imagine how hard it would be to loose my own. Stay strong!

Isn't it great we can agree to disagree? Just to be clear, I'm not saying to leave our lives entirely to fate. But sometimes fate is there and we can't escape from it. The thing we can do is to try and survive it. Take your case for example. Fate may have caused ya depression but you did all you could to balance it right? :) I don't see that as fighting it but making the best you could in the situation that fate has put you in.

If it's a happy one, rejoice. If it's a sad one, just see it as a test.
